Phase 3

Electives 

Phase 3 (Individualization) is a customized phase that starts after the three-year core curriculum. During this phase, students select a personalized pathway possibly including dual degree, clinical immersion, research-intensive, community-based project, and entry into residency. Faculty can create an elective with the assistance of the Instructional and Curricular Design unit; or teach an existing elective at your own site. Electives can be 2 Weeks or 4 Weeks full-time; part-time longitudinal, Clinical Speciality Immersions-12 weeks, research & medical education  research mentor. 

Phase 3 Faculty Development:

Elective faculty development sessions are held throughout the year. These sessions are to help faculty with developing their electives, conducting effective evaluations, creating narrative assessment, and skills needed for efficient teaching in the clinical environment.
