Environmental Health and Safety
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM) functions as a division of the Hackensack Meridian Health Department of Team Member Health and Safety. EHS at HMSOM provides expertise in biological, chemical, radiation, occupational and fire safety specifically focusing on academics and research at the Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus (IHSC).
EHS utilizes a comprehensive risk management process to identify risks and minimize hazards for staff, faculty and students. Through inspections, evaluations, drills and oversight we ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agencies.
