HMSOM Debuts New Electronic Library System

Electronic Library

The Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine debuted a new library website, with an upgraded catalog and collection, on July 1.

The new library website will provide the suite of journals, databases and ebooks that the HMSOM has been accustomed to, and will include an expanded collection of journals and books for the medical school and its students as required in a leading-edge, 21st-century medical education.

“This is an excellent achievement - a terrific resource that fundamentally supports our school, its students, and its faculty,” said Jeffrey Boscamp, M.D., president and dean, HMSOM.

Included in the new website are quick access clinical tools such as Clinical Key, AccessMedicine, DynaMed, and VisualDx.Literature databases include customized access to PubMed, Scopus, the Cochrane Library, and the LWW Health Library. The collection includes over 15,000 electronic journals and over 1 million documents. Toolkits particular to the HMSOM curriculum include the Phase 1 toolkit, the Phase 2 toolkit, The FIF, and “Conducting a Lit Review” resources.

Prominently featured are further library services, other toolkits, room reservation resources, and other helpful functions.

Access to this new library system is available to all students, faculty and staff of the HMSOM and the Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) For additional information on the login process, see here.
