

Tanchun Wang, Ph.D.
Dr. Tanchun Wang received her medical degree from Fudan University, China, and earned a Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed postdoctoral training in Cell Biology and Kidney Disease at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), part of the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor and Pharmacology faculty member dedicated to excellence in medical education. Recognized for her commitment to teaching and student success, she has received awards for teaching excellence and is highly regarded as a mentor by students and colleagues alike.
In addition to her educational responsibilities, Dr. Wang maintains an active research program spanning both basic science and community-based health initiatives. She is a two-time recipient of research funding from the New Jersey Health Foundation and serves as Principal Investigator on multiple ongoing projects. Her research interests include alcohol related neuroinflammation, medication safety, polypharmacy in older adults, and community health education. Dr. Wang has authored many peer-reviewed publications and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.
